Software I used for this project

The Brief

Ashton Rouska was currently in the process of obtaining his Ph.D. in psychology. He was also competing at the national level for powerlifting. This left little to no time to grow his audience on a platform like YouTube. Apace was looking to build brand connections within the fitness space.

We reached out to Ashton to build his YouTube channel. The goal was to grow Apace and Ashton's influence online, while minimal time investment as possible.

The process

With only 1 to 2 hours of time commitment from Ashton every other month we were able to successfully grow his channel. This is how we did it.

1. Research relevant and trending topics on YouTube and Google search

2. We would record interviews on those topics using Zoom

3. I would edit the videos in post-production. Removing pauses, adding B-Roll and custom graphics for visual interest.

4. I would post the videos to the partner channel and optimize them for YouTube

5. I would engage with the community discussions in the comments. This often lead to follow up video topics and more engagement

Results

Ashton Rouska's channel successfully grew from 0 to 997 subscribers within the first year of posting. With only 8 hours and 16 minutes of content published on the channel. The channel continued to organically grow without additional video recordings to over 1300 subscribers in the following year.
